What type of students does Project Match recruit?
Project Match recruits motivated learners. We are looking for students who are excited about learning, curious about new experiences, and committed to academic and personal growth. These qualities should be evidenced in their current grades, via any extracurricular activities and school leadership roles. Students entering the 8th, 9th, or 10th grades are good candidates, although Project Match has facilitated placement for a small number of exceptionally strong students in the 11th grade.

Is tuition assistance provided?
Project Match does not grant scholarships or tuition assistance. Financial aid, based on need, is provided by the schools. When funds are available, Project Match gives small amounts of direct student assistance for books, transportation, test fees, etc. when needed.
What are the fees for these services?
There are no fees. Project Match is funded by foundation and corporate grants as well as contributions from individual donors.
How many students have been assisted by Project Match?
More than five hundred (500) students are attending or have graduated from eighty-four (84) boarding schools since the inception of Project Match in 1980. The graduates have attended over one hundred (100) colleges and universities across the country.
